Silicone Rubber Sealing Ring
Silicone rubber sealing rings are sealing components made of silicone rubber. Relying on silicone’s excellent temperature resistance, weather resistance, elasticity and biocompatibility, they have become one of the most widely used sealing accessories in industrial, civil, medical, food and other fields. Their core function is to block the leakage and intrusion of media (gas, liquid, dust), and buffer friction between components, meeting the sealing requirements of various equipment.
Core Material Properties
The performance of silicone rubber sealing rings is determined by the silicone rubber base material. Based on ordinary silicone (methyl vinyl silicone rubber), it can be modified into oil-resistant, high-temperature-resistant, medical-grade and other types for different scenarios. The core universal properties are as follows:
Ultra-wide temperature resistance range: The conventional operating temperature is -60℃~200℃; specially modified versions can withstand low temperatures of -70℃ or short-term high temperatures of 250℃. It does not harden or crack at low temperatures, nor deform or age at high temperatures, adapting to extreme hot and cold environments.
Excellent elasticity and resilience: It can quickly recover its original shape after compression, stretching and torsion, and is not prone to permanent deformation even with long-term sealing, ensuring tight fit of the sealing surface and stable sealing effect.
Weather and aging resistance: Resistant to erosion by natural environments such as ultraviolet rays, ozone, wind and rain, it will not yellow or crack after long-term outdoor use. It is also resistant to corrosion by ordinary acids, alkalis and water vapor, with a long service life.
Good insulation: Silicone rubber is a high-quality electrical insulator that can isolate weak electric currents, meeting the dual requirements of sealing and insulation for electronic and electrical equipment.
Food/medical grade compatibility: Food-grade and medical-grade silicone rubber sealing rings comply with FDA, LFGB, ISO9001and other standards. They are odorless, free of harmful substance precipitation, and have good biocompatibility, allowing direct contact with food and human tissues.
Easy to clean and low stickiness: With a smooth surface, it is not easy to adhere to dust, oil stains and limescale, and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. It can withstand high-temperature cooking and alcohol disinfection in some scenarios.
