The medical device cardiac monitoring antenna is a medical flexible antenna accessory exclusively designed for medical electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring, cardiac rehabilitation and ECG diagnosis equipment. Adopting a composite molding process of safe medical-grade TPE and high-durability medical silicone rubber, it is core-adapted to medical scenarios such as ECG signal acquisition, cardiac electrophysiological monitoring and wireless ECG data transmission. It integrates the skin-friendly, body-fitting, high-elastic and mark-free characteristics of TPE with the disinfection-resistant, anti-aging, wear-resistant and durable advantages of silicone rubber. Complying with medical biocompatibility and electrical transmission standards, it ensures the accuracy of ECG signal acquisition and the stability of transmission, while meeting the hygiene requirements of high-frequency clinical use and repeated disinfection, and is a core matching part for ECG medical equipment.
Core Material Composite Properties
It adopts a double-layer composite structure of medical-grade TPE (contact layer) + medical-grade silicone rubber (protective/support layer). Both materials comply with medical specifications including ISO9001 and FDA, being plasticizer-free, halogen-free, free of harmful substance leaching and no harmful heavy metals contained. It meets the multiple needs of signal transmission, human contact and clinical use, with core properties as follows:
The human contact layer is made of ultra-soft medical-grade TPE with a Shore hardness of 25°~30°, featuring a skin-like soft texture. It causes no foreign body sensation or indentation when attached to ECG acquisition parts such as the human chest and limbs, adapting to long-term ECG monitoring scenarios; it has excellent biocompatibility, passing medical skin irritation and sensitization tests. Even in contact with sensitive skin and post-operative skin, there is no safety risk, complying with the safety standards for medical body-fitting accessories.
The outer/support layer is made of high-durability medical silicone rubber with a Shore hardness of 45°~55°, boasting excellent anti-aging, tear-resistant and wear-resistant properties. It resists repeated bending and pulling (bending resistance ≥1 million times) with no risk of cracking or chipping; it effectively protects the internal conductive structure of the antenna, adapting to clinical scenarios of high-frequency picking, placing and mobile use, and greatly extending the service life of the antenna.
The composite material withstands mainstream medical disinfection methods such as 75% alcohol wiping, iodophor disinfection, ultraviolet disinfection and wet wipe cleaning. After repeated disinfection, TPE remains non-sticky and silicone rubber does not age, with no disinfectant residue or leachables; the smooth, pore-free and dead-angle-free surface allows for easy removal of dust, sweat and medicinal liquid stains with a single wipe, meeting the high hygiene requirements of hospital wards, monitoring rooms and ECG diagnosis rooms.
Both materials are high-elastic and flexible, and the composite structure still maintains excellent bendability and moldability. It can be arbitrarily attached according to the curve of the human torso with no edge warping or displacement, ensuring close contact between the antenna and human skin, and avoiding ECG signal acquisition distortion and transmission interruption caused by contact gaps.
Both silicone rubber and TPE are high-quality medical insulating materials with stable dielectric constants, which do not shield or interfere with the acquisition and wireless transmission of weak ECG signals; the materials have low static electricity and are not prone to adsorbing dust and fiber impurities, avoiding signal contact interference caused by impurity obstruction and ensuring the accuracy of ECG data acquisition.
The operating temperature range covers -40℃~180℃, withstanding the constant temperature environment of hospitals, human body temperature and disinfection temperature. It does not harden or crack at low temperatures, and does not soften or deform at high temperatures; it resists immersion in conventional media such as human sweat, normal saline and medical coupling gel without swelling or degradation, adapting to multiple scenarios such as in-hospital bedside monitoring, mobile ECG testing and home cardiac rehabilitation.
The composite material has low density and light weight, and the entire antenna causes no obvious sense of burden. It does not affect patients' daily activities after being attached to the human body, adapting to long-term wearing scenarios such as 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitoring.
