Kegel Balls (Vaginal Barbells for Women)

Kegel balls, also known as vaginal barbells, are devices designed for female pelvic floor muscle training, and they are also hot-selling products in cross-border e-commerce. Here is a detailed introduction:

Basic Information

Name: Vaginal barbells are also called pelvic floor rehab devices or Kegel balls.

Material: Generally made of medical-grade non-toxic silicone with a soft outer shell that is harmless to the human body. Some products contain steel balls inside the core.

Shape & Specifications: Available in diverse shapes such as cylindrical and teardrop-shaped. A typical set includes 5 balls numbered from 1 to 5, with weights gradually increasing from approximately 20g to 70g and volumes decreasing accordingly.

Working Principle

Gravity Effect: Kegel balls have a certain weight, which tends to slip out of the vagina when the user stands up. This requires the user to actively contract the vaginal sphincter to lift the balls upward against gravity. Repeated contractions enhance vaginal elasticity and contractility.

Impact Stimulation: Some Kegel balls are highly elastic small spheres with internal steel balls. When in use, the steel balls collide with the inner wall of the balls, stimulating the pelvic floor muscles to contract and relax alternately, thereby achieving the training effect.

Target Users

Women who experience weakened pelvic floor muscles after vaginal or cesarean delivery.

Women suffering from stress urinary incontinence caused by pregnancy, childbirth or menopause.

Women with mild pelvic organ prolapse, such as slight descent of the bladder or uterus.

Usage Instructions

Preparation: Wash hands, vulva and the surface of the balls thoroughly. Do not dry them completely; keeping them slightly moist makes insertion easier.

Insertion: Lie down with knees bent and legs spread. Insert the ball about 2 centimeters into the vagina, leaving the attached string outside the body for easy removal.

Training Methods: Training can be performed in multiple positions: supine, sitting, standing, walking, and walking while carrying weights.

Start with supine training: Contract and relax the vaginal muscles at a 1:1 ratio, while squeezing the anus during contraction. Each session lasts 10–20 minutes, once a day.

After 4–5 days of consistent training, conduct an assessment. Once passing the assessment, progress to sitting training, and gradually increase the difficulty level in sequence.

Notes

Do not use during menstruation, pregnancy, within 30 days after miscarriage, or within 3 months after childbirth. It is also contraindicated for those with gynecological inflammation or vaginal epithelial damage.

Before and after each use, clean the balls thoroughly with a soft brush dipped in soapy water or hand sanitizer, rinse with clean water, dry with a clean soft towel, and store in the designated case for future use.

Beginners should start with the largest and lightest ball, performing supine training for 5–10 minutes per session. As muscle strength improves, gradually extend the training duration to 15–20 minutes. After a period of training, switch to smaller-sized and heavier balls for enhanced intensity.

This postpartum pelvic floor muscle repair product has a soft pink appearance. The main body is an oval sphere, matched with a slender and tough traction line. The overall shape is exquisite and small, and the texture is delicate and skin - friendly. It is specially designed for postpartum women and is used for the exercise and repair of pelvic floor muscles, helping postpartum women restore the function of pelvic floor muscles and improve problems such as pelvic floor muscle relaxation that may be caused by childbirth. In terms of the size of the sphere, it is 5.3 cm in length and 2.6 cm in width, which fits the human physiological structure and is convenient to use. There are various weight specifications such as 22g, 34g, 46g, 58g, and 70g, which can be flexibly selected according to personal exercise stages and bearing capacity. At the same time, the color also supports customization, which can meet the preferences and needs of different users.
